Hello. My collar sucks.
We all had a sleepless night last night.
Poor Millaii must have been struggling with the pain, also the obvious discomfort from the Elizabeth collar.
She kept walking into the furniture, looked confused then depressed.
I was so tired but kept waking up every 30 mins and every time I checked on Millaii. She mostly sat with her head dropped down, panting lightly, looking sad.
I wondered if she wanted to go to the bathroom, or needed to be comforted. I went to pet her many times, opened the door to see if she showed any sign of needing to go. No. She was just too weak to even move any more.
I was grateful that she was alive but it still hurt to see her in pain.
The staples on her incision. Pretty clean.
But still, imagine staples in your skin...
The morning came and everybody was tired from lack of sleep, and .... hungry, as usual.
Millaii looked like she wanted to eat, too. I served everybody regular breakfast.
Millaii also enjoyed a full-bowl of dog chow. I felt a little relieved.
After that she kept getting stronger throughout the day.
I couldn't take her on our walk but she wanted to come.
Every time I had to go out, Millaii came to the door wanting to come with me. I had to leave her home. Car rides would be too much activity for her.
I let her come outside to our parking area though - our play area, with Ginger and Anko, both in the morning and in the afternoon.
She walked slowly but seemed happy to be outside.
Finally!
Smell something good in the air?
Envious... well, you'll be next.
Funny the first thing she did - she went straight to the fence where she could watch the stray cats.
With the huge collar in the way, still, more skilled in handling it, Millaii stuck to the fence for a long time and enjoy the sight of her favorite cat family.
Oooooooo~ I can spend hours here....
I know tomorrow she will feel much better than she did today, then better and better.
I look into her beautiful eyes and see her trust in me.
I promised her again today, that I would find her a family that she could trust completely, and so she would not have to worry about anything for the rest of her life!
Don't all pets deserve that??
There is a pet tortoise we see during our walk.
This is Ginger's favorite zoo
=================================================
ANKO and MILLAII are up for adoption. They need new homes.
I am fostering them until they can find nice new owners.
They are current with their shots.
Millaii is spayed. Anko will be spayed on 11/15.
Please e-mail me if you are interested in either Millaii or Anko (or both), or if you have questions, or if you know of anybody who may be interested in them. We live in Cypress, California. 15 mins from Disneyland.
You can foster her for a few days to see if she is a good fit for your family. I will always take her back if you decided she is not the right pet for you.
