Rescue Dogs for Adoption

Hello. My name is Tam. I live in Orange County, and I rescue dogs. This is my blog on my rescue dogs. They are looking for new homes. If you know anybody who is looking for a dog, please let them know about my blog. You can e-mail my posts to your friends by clicking an e-mail icon below each post. Please spread the word about rescued animals. Pets are always available for adoption at local animal shelters, too. Please always think about adopting first when you look for a pet.

Going well....

2 days after the surgery, Millaii is feeling better and stronger every minute, seems like.
The incision looks good.

Yes, it's still stapled....time for Halloween
She wanted to come whenever we went out, and I actually let her once, when I went to drop off my son at school in the morning.
Imagine having a dog with the giant collar on in the car with 2 other dogs and a kid. Not a fun ride.
I was wondering if the police saw me they would stop me for this? Are dogs supposed to be buckled up in the car in California?
Anyway, nobody has said anything so far...

Sulking.....? No just resting....

I think Millaii has even got used to wearing the collar a little. She still runs into everything that's in her way, but that doesn't drive her as crazy as before. Instead of stopping and looking confused and getting depressed, she keeps on going.
She knocks over things on the cabinet (and sometimes it looks like she is deliberately doing it...for fun) and scoops up treats off of the floor with it. She is definitely more skilled in handling it. Good to see.
By the time I have to take her back to the clinic for staple removal in 2 weeks, she may be able to catch a ball in the cone and throw it back.

I took Ginger and Anko for a walk leaving Millaii at home again.

We always look forward to seeing animals, pet or stray or wild.
We saw an amazing cat today.
It was a small girl cat. No collar. So I didn't know if she was someone's pet or a stray.
But this cat did not freak out when I came close to her with Ginger and Anko by my side.

You're not going to eat me, are you, Doggy?

She didn't come over either but just stayed there and didn't go away. I thought she was waiting for us to come to her.
Ginger and Anko wanted to smell the cat so bad, they tried to get low and sniff her butt. Well, she apparently didn't welcome it and hissed at them. The dogs stopped and walked away. The cat won.
I petted her for a while and she was purring for the whole time.

I mean, usually cats walk right way when they see us (actually the dogs, not me).
This one must be very brave, or crazy. Maybe she and Toby can be good friends.

I kept looking at her and wondered if she was someone's pet.
Did she grow up with a dog?
Next time I see someone in that area, maybe I'll ask and find out. That will be interesting.

We now have another spot we look forward to seeing this kitty at during our walk.

=================================================

ANKO and MILLAII are up for adoption. They need new homes.
I am fostering them until they can find nice new owners.
They are current with their shots.
Millaii is spayed. Anko will be spayed on 11/15.

Please e-mail me if you are interested in either Millaii or Anko (or both), or if you have questions, or if you know of anybody who may be interested in them. We live in Cypress, California. 15 mins from Disneyland.

You can foster her for a few days to see if she is a good fit for your family. I will always take her back if you decided she is not the right pet for you.
